Class Descriptions 

AGES 1.5-3.5, PARENT PARTICIPATION
Parent participation classes do not perform in the recital

 

Dancing Together

Dancing Together is a parent participation class designed to give children the beginning elements of dance in a fun, comfortable, and creative learning environment. The instructor will guide you through both listening and moving activities, dancing, and stretching. We will use props, sing songs, and have fun! This class will get you both twirling hand in hand! 

Baby Ballet (& Jr. Princess Ballerinas)

Baby Ballet and Jr. Princess Ballerinas are classes to give your toddler the beginning elements of ballet and dance class with you by their side. We will stretch, use our imaginations, learn basic ballet terminology, practice across the floor with peers, and learn basic combinations. We will sing songs, dance with props, and have fun together! 

Tumble and Dance

Tumble and Dance is a parent participation class similar to Dancing Together, with the added element of basic tumbling. You will help your child execute basic tumbling including somersaults, crab walks, log rolls, bear walks, leap frogs, and bridges. We will do fun movement games and dances to help promote balance, rhythm, and body control. We will sing songs, dance with props, and more! 

AGES 2.5-5

 

Princess Pre-Ballet

This 45 minute class is concentrated just on ballet. Princess Pre-ballet is designed to give your budding ballerina an introduction to ballet movements and simple combinations. Your child will play and learn basic ballet movements like the positions, arms, kicks, jumps, work on posture and more. 

 

 

Pre-Ballet + Tumbling

This is a combo class where class time will be divided in learning these two types of movement: pre-ballet for the first half and tumbling for the second half. Your child will learn basic ballet movements like the positions, arms, kicks, work on posture and more; in tumbling they will learn rolls, jumps, good form, and increase flexibility. Join this fun class to introduce your child to these important elements of dance education!

Princess Ballerinas + Tap

Princess Ballerinas is designed for the girl who loves to twirl and play. Your princess ballerina will be introduced to basic dance terminology. This class allows budding ballerinas to join and fall in love with the magic and joy of dance. 

​Ultimate Combo: Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop

In this Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop combo class we will explore each of these dance styles. Combo classes build on foundational skills of Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop to enforce coordination, strength, flexibility and musicality. Each week we will work on new steps, technique and choreography. This class is essential for a well-rounded foundation in your child's dance education. This class is highly recommended for any child this age!! Your child will find what they do well, and decide what they would like to continue to train in with level classes. 

Hippity Hop + Tumbling

We will freestyle to age-appropriate pop songs, take trips across the floor, stretch and learn combinations. Your child will learn cool new moves while we sneak in dance fundamentals in the process. Tumbling is the mat part of gymnastics. We will work on strengthening the body while executing simple tumbling skills and passes. This class is highly recommended for this age group as they grow and need to build strength and flexibility. 

AGES 5-12

 

Tap and Jazz Combo

This is an intro to dance class to students who want to explore what they may want to continue in. In Tap, we will work on developing intricate patterns and rhythms, and in Jazz we will begin to develop flexibility and balance skills as a foundation for leaps, turns and tricks. We will warm up, go across the floor, and learn choreography. In Tumbling, we will learn basic tumbling skills and passes. Taking this class as a foundation for basic technique for Tap and Jazz, with the new added element of tumbling; will get students ready to transition to single level classes.

Jr. Musical Theater

Jr Musical Theatre will develop your child's skills in song, dance, and acting. We will learn basic dance steps, play some acting games, and learn to sing. We will learn scenes from your child's favorite musicals in this fun and creative class where your child will discover their talents in each of these areas. 

AGES 7-18

 

Ballet I

Ballet is HIGHLY recommended for ALL dancers. Ballet training (especially at the beginner level) is the perfect foundation in grounding your dance skills and dance education. Ballet enforces good posture, core strength, turnout, strength, flexibility, and body control. Having a strong foundation in Ballet technique will set you up for success in all other forms of dance. 

Flexibility and Strength for Kids

This is a 30 minute class recommended for all dancers to build core strength and flexibility throughout your student's body. This will elongate their body for optimal heigh and length in legs for leaps, kicks, passe, tilts, heel stretches and a strong back for tricks, tumbling. Especially if your child is not naturally flexible, this class is for them. 

Hip Hop I/II

Hip Hop I/II is for ages 8 and up (under 8 we recommend the "Ultimate Combo" class or "Hippity Hop and Tumbling"). We will build strength, flexibility, and learn combinations to age-appropriate pop/hip hop songs. This class performs in the annual showcase. 

Tap I & Tap II

In Tap I/II, be introduced to tap technique and terminology to build a foundation of strong tap basics. We will do warm up combinations, go across the floor, and learn new combinations every few weeks. Bring your energy and your tap shoes to this great class if you are interested in trying tap or you've had some experience and want to reinforce your skills. This class performs in the annual showcase. 

FITNESS CLASSES

Mat Pilates 

The physical benefits of this class come through a series of floor exercises using resistance bands and exercise balls, the workout helps build, sculpt and tone muscles, giving your body a long and lean look. This class will help your body increase flexibility, posture, and core strength. All you need to bring is a mat and good attitude. This class is for every body, all levels!

Barre Body

Barre Body is essentially a mix of elements from dance, Pilates, and functional training choreographed to motivating and fun music. In each energizing and targeted workout, you'll use the barre and exercise equipment such as mini-balls and resistance bands to sculpt, slim, and stretch your entire body. All levels welcome. All you need to bring is your own mat and good attitude!

 

Mat Pilates and Barre Body Combo 

This class is for the ladies that want to try mat or barre without the commitment to one whole class of one. All levels welcome. Just bring your own mat and a good attitude!

Tap

Beginning or intermediate level tapper? Join us as we listen to old school tunes and learn simple and fun combinations.  

SPECIAL NEEDS

Musical Theater

We will sing, dance, act, and more! Space in this class is very limited. 

PRIVATE LESSONS

We offer private lessons for the duration of 30, 45, or 60 minutes for up to four dancers. Privates are a great way to prepare for an audition, talent show, brushing up on technique, or learning more choreography to increase versatility. Dancer's present in the lesson can cost share. If one is absent, the other dancer's in the private are still responsible for the lesson to be fully paid for. To have a number in the show, is under instructor's discretion and minimum requirements must be met- which are outlined in more detail on the registration form.
