About Dance Dayz Studio: How we started and where we are now.
Dance Dayz was founded as a mobile dance business going to schools and recreation centers. These were short sessions, and Nadia simply had dreams for making a larger impact on kids and their families. She went to work brainstorming with friends on the dream of opening a permanent location- a studio space to build a community of dancers, artists, and their familiesDance Dayz Studio has become a reality this year, open for it's first year of classes in Grossmont Center, La Mesa!
Our goal at Dance Dayz Studio is to offer quality classes to help your child to be the best they can be. In class your child will get fitness, friendship, and fun while learning dance skills and self-expression in a nurturing environment. In conjunction with parent support, our instructors will instill values of self-discipline and dedication to dance and performing arts. This nurturing class environment and values that your child will develop will have a positive impact on their overall health and well-being.  As they continue dancing, they will continue to reap the benefits as they learn and grow.
A note from Nadia: How Dance Changed My Life
Growing up, while at home I was a talkative and energetic, at school I was shy and quiet. I started taking dance lessons when I was 9 years old and fell in love with dance class. Within a year of starting dance, I transformed into a completely different person. Through dance I learned that I was the one in charge of the results in my life. This realization gave me a sense of unshakable self-confidence
I would ask my mom to get the CD's we did in class so I could practice at home. I came to class each week prepared and determined to be my best. Dance gave me something to work hard for; and as I saw my progress, I realized that through dedication I could really do anything.

I became a leader and involved in every extracurricular I could fit in my schedule through elementary, middle, high school, and college. This included Girl Scouts, piano, tennis, golf, volleyball (briefly.. I'm 5'3"), Art Club, Christian Club, ASB, Yearbook, community service, volunteer work with the IRC, dance of course, and in my spare time I liked to sketch and read. To give you an example, I was a senior in high school and took all 7 periods-- all of my best friends left at lunch. What 17 year old doesn't want to leave with her friends early as a senior in high school? Me.. I WANTED to take more electives. Maybe it was weird, but I enjoyed learning new skills and exploring natural talents I didn't even know I had. I won competitions, scholarships and awards based on my effort and my new found ability and motivation to apply myself in all areas of my life. Not to mention I was simply a lot happier and having a lot more fun!

Without a doubt, dance changed everything for me and I am so grateful. If someone told my shy-self all those years ago that I would be 28 and starting a dance company to make an impact on hundreds of people, I definitely would not have believed it. So it is my greatest privilege to pay-it-forward by introducing other children to the wonderful world of dance and the gift of empowerment it can be for all areas of life. I want to share my passion for teaching with as many students as I can at Dance Dayz Studio.
